GOOD MORNING, LONDON!! (Again!)

GOOD MORNING, LONDON! (again!)

Well, I was awake from 3am till about 8am then back to sleep. Woke up again a few hours later to a nice cup of tea and lovely walk & talk with Adam to the 'Joan's on Third' of Knotting Hill, Carluccio's on West Bourne Grove. Love the simplicity of excitement in crossing a street, the taxis, colorful window boxes...Ahhh love it all. Truly.

Then onto see a Cat about her Costume!  You know, just an average Monday with Christian Bale, Morgan Freeman, Marion Cottilard (mind you I had been watching La Vie en Rose on laptop in bed just 7 hours prior, but welcome to my bazaar world) and incredibly friendly crew it was. WOWZERS, I'm on the set of Batman!

Upon wrap....
Our recipe for proper London Tour, must include: Covent Garden shopping, hotel for vino and light bite. followed by CD shopping and cruises throughout the city-centre. Which gratefully we did just that!

Stop off at Brit by Burberry, Covent Garden
Lily Allen's Vintage (though doors weren't open--Monday, a pop in window was quite satisfying.)
Additionally..
Fifi Wilson, a new favorite in Covent Garden.                                                                                                                                Best find, grey sweatshirt with brown suede leather patches.
The Covent Garden Hotel.
Ah, the memories of 8 plus years ago. Where I literal bumped into Bono as I stood in my pepto-bizmal Juicy Couture zip up hoodie sweets (you know the one, think long and hard back to 2002.) NOT a finer moment of mine in life. THough Bono was quite nice. If nothing else, it was 8a, he was in purple shades and didn't comment on my pink velore one-suit.

Call me Blanch Devereuax, but I'm kinda loving this wing-back
printed chair at  The Covent Garden Hotel
 Looking to rosé colored glasses...CHEERS!
Have you ever seen a larger parking meter ? Ever? I'm in heels, so it's got to be a minimum of 5'5"!

"Oh yeah, we're built of Churches and Pubs," -Paul, transportation.

THE END
of the evening drive

..But doesn't it look like the perfect ending to a magical story?!

More to come....Tomorrow: Paris!!!
So tonight had been pure dress-up and packing.

Hope tonight is filled with fabulous fire works and you're enjoying great company.

Celebrating 1776 from across the pond!

Bonne nuit...Joie de Vivre!
xoxo Meredith

  3. So glad you had great 4th in England, and that the bad blood about the declaration and the revolution is finally over. Looking forward to a vicarious European experience not felt since the Griswolds won Pig in a Poke for their own European vacation.
